Thomas began his geosciences career as an intern at EMX Royalty Corp., collaborating with many of the current Scout team members. Since then, he has amassed diverse experience in both exploration and engineering consulting. He has worked as a Junior Geologist for Hecla Mining Company's San Juan Silver project and served as a Water Resource Consultant for SGM.

Thomas holds a Bachelor of Science in Geology from Fort Lewis College and is a certified Geologist-in-Training through the Association of State Boards of Geology (ASBOG).
